Metz Day at the Waltham Museum 1pm Talk: Bob McGann as Charles Herman Metz

On Saturday Sept.23rd, the Waltham Museum will be open 10am-2pm for tours and a 1pm talk with Charles Herman Metz.

Come meet the man who raced and innovated bicycles in the 1890s, who was the first mass producer of motorcycles in the U.S., and who as a peer of Henry Ford manufactured automobiles at the Waltham Manufacturing Company and then the Metz Company until 1922. Charles H. Metz bought the Gore Estate in 1911 and lined his cars on the top of the hill for display.

 

Saturday 9/23 1pm Charles Herman Metz talk by Waltham resident Bob McGann at the Waltham Museum, 25 Lexington St. Regular admission for tours.
