SUMMARY:Massachusetts License Plate History
DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the Waltham Museum. Alan Young\, license plate collector and historian of early plates and registrations invites you to attend his presentation to the Waltham Museum on Sunday\, November 6\, 2022\, at 1:00 PM. \nAs a collector of early license plates for over thirty years\, Alan has built a library of research material and registration listing books that allow us to unlock the mysteries of the earliest registrants in Massachusetts cities and towns\, including what they drove and where they lived. Do you know who the first was to register in Waltham? Would you like to know how the 1908 Mass plate pictured here is tied to Waltham? You will learn this and much more at his presentation. \nThis will be an interactive discussion\, so bring your license plate related questions along with any old license plates you would like to discuss. As a long-standing member and Colonial Region Director of ALPCA (the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association)\, if Alan doesn’t have the answer\, he will likely have the connections to seek it out. Alan has been a Massachusetts resident his entire life\, and lives in Westminster. Contact information is available upon request. \nLight refreshment and brief museum tours available after the talk. \nTickets at the door: $20.00/nonmembers and $15.00/members. Ample parking available in the municipal garage directly across from the museum. Proceeds benefit the Waltham Museum.
