Waltham Transportation History Seminar

$20Join us Saturday September 24th 2022 for a gathering of owners and historians & enthusiasts as we explore the rich history of motorized transportation manufactured and or related to the City of Waltham, Massachusetts. A lecture of the rescue and restoration of a 1901 Orient by George King. A display of vehicles manufactured in Waltham. Question & Answer open discussion session where we explore Automobiles, Bicycles, Motorcycles, Steam Cars and patent that were brought to light by people like Abner Doble, Charles Metz, George Tinker, John Piper, Leonard Gaylor, Howe & Stainforth and others. Bring your pre-war vehicle and historical memorabilia to display.
This event will take place in the newly restored carriage house at Gore Place the former corporate office of the Waltham Manufacturing Co. (Metz Automobiles). $20 per person which will include a tour of Gore Place at the conclusion of the lecture.
Prior to the Seminar THE WALTHAM MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN 10-12pm FOR TOURS and QUESTIONS ON THE METZ EXHIBIT.
**This special event is taking place in conjunction with the Motorhead’s Car Show weekend of events and the Metz/Waltham Transportation reunion car display Sunday September 25th. at Gore Place. Pre World War 2 cars are encouraged to attend both days.
